Genesis

We were all dust Stardust Fallen from yellow skies Onto this purple planet Of red seas and blue oak trees Our paths were drawn By winds of destiny Some were breeze And others wild hurricanes But mine is long time frozen At the eye of the storm Still floating over your sea of rage Would I finally meet with the land? Will I ever touch down? Or am I only destined to just float around?

Scapegoat

He wore his long white coat Looked into the mirror and straightened his tie Showed his teeth and made a howl Looking satisfied he pushed his way to the big room “This is my time. This is the day I’ll rule” The doors opened and lights pointed to a golden throne He was led to his seat by trumpets and hails Once on the throne, the hangman appeared And with a quick play of hands turned his tie to a chain Which he straightened around his neck until it broke Not long after the hails turned to shouts of disputes And then all lights went down except the one in the middle Where lays a white coat On its back is written “Scapegoat”

The waves, they spoke to me of wild worlds Where leaves would sink and rocks would float And sands would shine with their own light And seas' foam would form and pile up like snow To get there you'll have to jump So high in the skies With closed eyes to this world below to this life below

Why think of flying while you don’t have wings Why think of escaping while there still are unresolved things For you Here Where you lived Since you were walking on hands and feet You think you’re better than to fit In this place that protected you when you were facing defeat You call yourself rebellious Fighting a kind of violence with another kind of violence All the same man All parts of one snake chasing its tail

Balaam

Now it’s too late for you to awake You’ve been for so long asleep Your fire consumed all of your faith and left no ground at your feet And the skies don’t shine no more They’ve closed all their doors Even the star that used to be your mate Is no more here to consulate You’re left with no wings to sore Gotta walk back your way on all fours And all the dreams you once had have turned into scary dark bats that wouldn’t leave your head until all of your heart and mind are dead
